Scleral Lens or Scleral Contact Lens are Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contact lenses which rest on the sclera (The white part) of your eye. Scleral lenses are popularly used to treat various eye conditions like Myopia, Hyperopia, etc.

One of the reasons is that a scleral lens is filled with a saline solution which acts as a constant source of hydration to the eye.

How long does the scleral lens last?

The scleral lens normally lasts 1-3 years depending on the habits and use of the user.
